Customer/Seller relationship

Customers are like bees. They sworm around the unexpecting future target. This target is what we call the seller. The bee may come to complain so much or be so indecisive that the pain of a sting might be the preferable pain. Unlike a bee, who only attack when threatened, this spieces can hold a grudge against all sellers due to a mistake made by some non-present seller.

How to…

…recognize a bee-customer

  • Stomping feet
  • Sweat and the occassional tears breaking out
  • Big handgestures
  • Facecolour is slowly becoming increasingly red
  • Voice unmistakably loud and high pitched!

…to deal w them

  • Although your mind is racing and you want to scream, speak with a calm, relaxed voice
  • Make sure you always have something to back up your arguments with, or the customer will shoot you down!
  • Either have waterproof clothes or have an umbrella close to hands when the waterworks starts.
  • When you can’t you can’t stand another word, make up an excuse to go to the storage room where you can scream into a pillow while the understanding eyes of your colleagues watch you.
  • When finally the bee won’t stop buzzing… give up and run away.  RUN! And don’t look back!

As you can probably tell by this nice little explanation of a day as a seller in a babystore, you might understand that this day has not been the greatest! However the highlight was that I got to see Connie Nielsen, the Danish actress who playes against Russel Crowe in Gladiator (one of my favourite movies)!

Work in Copenhagen, Denmark

July 16, 2008 at 10:14 pm (Gamla Goa Svea)

So this is what summer is all about when you reach a certain age? Its all work and no fun… I probably shouldn’t say no fun. As soon as I’ve got a minute or two to spare I tend to have more plans than I truely have time for. The reason for the change of language is that my friends back in England from Uni shall have a chance to understand what I’m writing.

Love to you all!
